Hand Cycling

July/August 2024

We have 2 groups:

  • The Recreational Riders will meet for fitness, fun, and the social aspect.
  • The Hand Cyclones will focus on fun and goal-oriented fitness such as speed and other personal goals.

Join one team…or both!

Don’t own a Hand Cycle? Don’t worry- thanks to the good people from Canadian Paralympic Association and Grande Prairie Rotary Clubs we have some hand cycles to lend through our Equipment Loan Program.

Get Moving

Not interested in organized sports, but want to get out and try new activities? The Get Moving program has been running through out the summer and participants have enjoyed activites, such as: mini-golf, swimming, PARDS, personal training sessions, darts, strolls in the park. We will be booking different activities each month. Come check us out and let us know what you want to do. There may be minimal costs for some activities.

Adapted Sport Awareness Program

Helping promote the ABILITIES of people with disabilities. We can bring wheelchairs to YOU and challenge your group to become disabled by doing various activities in a wheelchair. If you would like us to come to your school or come to us.

Bringing awareness and the experience of a disability to people and students in our region. Bring your group/class on a field-trip to the Eastlink Centre and/or Coca Cola Centre. Take this opportunity to learn about and play adapted sports such as Wheelchair Basketball, Hand Cycling, Boccia Ball and Sledge Hockey.

This is an innovative and interactive program that shows the students the ABILITIES of people with disabilities.
